Meanwhile back on the trains...
a number of other parties
had sprung into action. We are still not exactly sure of how many occurred however
we know for certain of several:
PARTY A Leaving anti-clockwise from Victoria

With several carriages full of people, a pole dancing podium, music and more. One band of Hijackers set up a very successful party. A live cabaret by pinups for peace, and disco tunes filled the train. Commuters joined in, there was dancing galore and a good time had by all. Eventually making a complete lap of the circle line and ending back at the Spitz bar near Liverpool St.

PARTY B Leaving clockwise from Victoria.

This it seems was mainly comprised of the many people on the circle line train behind the one stopped at Sloane Sq. It also completed a lap before also heading back east.

PARTY C West Bound District Line.
Jumping on the District Line behind the stopped train several party goers and a mini sound system entertained the commuters on the train held up by the Police action. A good time was had by all, and many commuters were laughing as the driver announced "I have no idea what is going on ahead, I think there has been some sort of passenger action". Madonna and Elvis were blaring out of the stereo and everyone waved as we passed the party on Sloane Square platform.
PARTY D Anti-clockwise from South
Kensington.
After a rendezvous in a pub on the Kings Road many people turfed out at Sloane
Square decided to make another attempt at the Circle Line. Walking to Sth Ken
we jumped on board and set up a podium and sound system at the double. This
was a lovely party with people joining our carriage from the ones next to it,
and complete strangers joining in the dancing. Eventually Beyonce had to be
turned down and we met the rest of the crowds back at the Spitz.
It seems there may have been many more spin off parties that we are not even
aware of yet. If you were on one
please let us know.
After a few drinks, some music and dancing in Spitalfields market behind the
Spitz the remaining crowds headed down to Altab Ali park in Whitechapel for
one final party and a chance to swap stories and tales of their evening. Another
round of cheesy disco and cabaret was eventually replaced by an MC competition
of locals. The festivities and fun carried on until the early hours after a
very successful night.
A massive thanks to everyone who came, especially everyone who brought entertainment,
cleaned up, acted responsibly and danced their socks off.
